A Letter from Kim Hombs

Greetings Trees, Bees & All Of These Friends,
Unlimited in our scope of earth friendly issues that we address, our mission encompasses all of Mother Earth. For example, the major impetus for starting Trees, Bees, & All of These was wanting to bring together as many concerned citizens to speak up for mature tree and green space save here in Charlotte, due to witnessing such rampant clear cutting and loss of green space to developers with seemingly no constraints; so many people I talked to had the same feelings of heart break in witnessing this. So, I felt we needed a platform for people to be heard, to make it fun and easy to speak up because many are reluctant to or do not know whom or where to go to be heard.
We want to empower citizens to speak up for any earth friendly issues and to help enlighten and educate others regarding harmful practices that others may not even be aware of.
Pesticides are killing our pollinators, bees, wasps, and other insects. They are reducing our song bird population by killing mosquitoes and other insects that birds in your garden consume thousands per day in order to sustain themselves and especially their young. Without insects for protein baby birds starve, they do not live on seeds. Also fertilizers run off and choke our creeks, streams and oceans with algae blooms killing fish our source of food and marine life.
Some of our goals are to:
"If it affects Mother Nature it affects every single one of us. We are all intricately connected. We have to stand up and speak up in her behalf."
Sign up today, join us, be a part of us. We are looking for people who want to help create and move this organization forward. Show up and speak up at events where our voices need to be heard, the more voices the greater the impact Donate time, skills, or funds. Follow us on Facebook. Join us for nature events to learn and connect with Nature and one another. We need your support!

Some of our goals are to:
- Discourage big box store from selling these products and encouraging sale and use of organic fertilizers like bat guano and worm casings and fish emulsions.
- Help people be aware of the cancer causing affects of Round Up (Glycophosphates) by absorption directly into our skin and consuming it from mass grown produce. It is leaching the essential minerals and nutrients from our food sources.
- Encourage people to buy only organic and non GMO and no antibiotic meat and produce.
- Empower people to ask restaurants not to use plastic straws and styrofoam cups and to go containers.
- Encouraging retailers not to provide plastic bags as an option and educate people to utilize reusable cloth bags or boxes like Costco does to reduce the pollution of our water ways and land.
